  • RHL Completes Installation at Harvard University Lavietes Basketball Pavilion

BOSTON, MA - RHL has recently completed the installation of Hussey Seating’s Maxam Plus telescopic bleachers and Maxam Plus telescopic bleachers as part of the renovation of and addition to Harvard’s Lavietes Pavilion. One of the oldest basketball facilities in the country, the Lavietes basketball Pavilion is home to Harvard University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams. This challenging installation required careful evaluation of site conditions and coordination in order to install Fusion series fixed seating above occupied areas where no structure previously existed. The Fusion seats were place on platforms from Hussey’s Maxam Plus telescopic seating, which had been anchored to steel raker beams with custom brackets. The seating banks then transition to Hussey Maxam Plus telescopic seating. Precise measurements of the site were critical to the success of the installation, since tolerances were as little as ¼”. Active on-site coordination by RHL resulted in a successful installation that complements the space.
